Romero Bros Plumbing

Privacy Policy

Romero Bros Plumbing

Effective date: October 14, 2026

1. Information we collect

When you request service through our website form or chatbot, we collect the information you provide. This may include your name, phone number, optional email address, service address, property type, plumbing issue, requested service, urgency, preferred contact method, and optional photos.

If you use the chatbot, your messages are processed to provide responses and collect your request details. A summary may be included in your saved service request. Information entered in the chatbot is processed before you submit a service request.

Our website and hosting providers also process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP addresses, browser information, and request logs. Our spam-protection system stores a hashed version of your IP address rather than the raw address in its abuse-prevention records.

2. How we use your information

We use service-request information to respond to your inquiry, communicate using your preferred contact method, coordinate the plumbing service you need, and maintain related business records. We also use technical information to operate the website, prevent abuse, and understand how visitors use our public pages.

Submitting a request does not subscribe you to a marketing mailing list.

3. Service providers and disclosures

Romero Bros Plumbing does not sell your personal information or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Service providers may process information on our behalf to operate the website, store requests and photos, deliver notification emails, and support chatbot responses. These include Lovable’s hosting, cloud storage, and email services, and OpenAI through Lovable’s AI service for chatbot processing. Chat messages, including personal details you enter, are sent to the AI service so it can respond.

Saved requests are available through our restricted internal management page. Notification emails to Romero Bros Plumbing contain request details and, when applicable, temporary links to submitted photos. Uploaded request photos are not placed in the website’s public project galleries.

We may disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or the security of our services.

4. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 on customer-facing pages to understand website traffic and interactions. Analytics loads unless you have opted out or your browser sends one of the privacy signals described below. Our private management page is excluded from analytics.

Google Analytics may use cookies and similar identifiers to collect information such as pages visited, referring sources, browser and device information, approximate location derived from your IP address, and website interactions. These interactions include phone and email link clicks, opening the chatbot, and successfully saved service requests. Request events identify whether the request came from the website form or chatbot, not the customer’s identity.

We do not send your name, phone number, email address, service address, messages, or uploaded photos to Google Analytics. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. Google Signals and advertising-related features are disabled.

5. Analytics choices, GPC, and Do Not Track

You can turn off Google Analytics using the Analytics opt-out control in our website footer. This stops future analytics tracking and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies set by this website. Your choice is stored in that browser. It does not delete information already collected by Google. Clearing browser storage or using another browser may reset your saved choice.

Global Privacy Control (GPC): When your browser sends a GPC signal, our website does not load or send Google Analytics tracking. We honor this signal regardless of whether you previously enabled analytics.

Do Not Track (DNT): DNT is a separate browser preference, not the same signal as GPC. Although DNT has no universally adopted standard, this website also disables Google Analytics when your browser sends an enabled DNT signal.

These choices do not prevent you from requesting service. Storage and processing needed for the chatbot, service requests, and website security continue to operate.

6. Browser storage and fonts

The website uses browser storage to remember your analytics preference. The chatbot also uses session storage to retain messages, pending photos, and submission status within your browser tab. Session storage ordinarily clears when the tab’s session ends; browser session restoration may preserve it.

Our Barlow font files are served with the website rather than requested from Google Fonts servers.

7. Retention and security

Saved service requests and uploaded photos currently remain in our records without a fixed automatic deletion schedule. Temporary photo links expire, but expiration does not delete the underlying photos. Security records are periodically cleaned up; deletion is not immediate at a guaranteed time.

We use access restrictions and private photo storage to help protect request information. No website, storage system, or email transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

8. Privacy questions and requests

To ask about your information or request access, correction, or deletion, contact info@romerobrosplumbing.com or call (626) 826-7743. We may need to verify your identity. Requests are handled subject to applicable law and legitimate recordkeeping requirements.

9. Policy updates

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices. The effective date will identify the latest published version.
